Inspiration – Plum

Plum, purple, aubergine – gorgeous shades associated with wealth, prosperity and royalty – what’s not to like.

I love to use this sophisticated colour as a neutral in my design schemes. It looks great on a large sofa or for a pair of arm chairs to anchor a room. It pairs beautifully with greys, blues, saffron yellows and creams. Really anything goes, it all comes down to the look and feel you want to create.

At its simplest form, freshly picked plums in a handmade ceramic bowl on a kitchen counter always makes a space feel welcoming and inviting.
