IN GRATITUDE

Well, here we are. As 2021 draws to a close, it’s always a time for me to reflect and above all give thanks for another year lived and another year of doing what I love.

It has been a complex year with more pushing and navigating than I ever thought possible. I am not by nature a pushy person. I believe in going with the flow, knowing that what is meant for you will not pass you by. But that doesn’t mean that I am not passionate about what I do; I have a vision for all our client projects and my expectation levels of service for our clients are high.

But as I write this newsletter, I am above all grateful. Yes, there have been complex sagas with deliveries being stretched or simply getting lost – who knows where that gorgeous blue midcentury modern recliner is………. but even when crazy things like this happen another fabulous vintage chair and ottoman emerge and the fabric for upholstery is magically in stock and so the stars all align – just in a slightly different galaxy than we had originally planned.

If I had to give 2021 a word it would be fluid, as this is what I feel we have had to become in order to find our way through. Water always finds its course and I know so will we.

REFLECTING

Home is where the heart is, and I am lucky to have two homes where my heart resides – my home with Dean and my new puppy (yes, she is here), and my work home, the studio (she is here also some days).
