Toronto Heritage Townhouse

Project Type

Renovation, Restoration, Decoration & Styling

Location

Ancroft Place, Toronto, Ontario

style

Layered, Tailored and Pet Friendly

This house was meant to be our project from the moment I stepped across the threshold at my first client meeting. The exterior has lovely red brick and lots of tumbling ivy, it was love at first sight for me. We wanted to take this compact historic (1927) townhouse, restore the original features, and add new modern twists with bold wallpaper and layered patterned accents. It looks and feels very British in its architecture and styling and, once inside, you feel transported to another continent.

Lighting, French oak floors, and tailored millwork were key elements in the design direction. The colour palette is black and ivory with furniture upholstered in caramel and Bordeaux.

Before and After images can be found on our Instagram Highlighted Stories.

This project was featured in the October 2020 issue of House & Home magazine.

Take one historic townhome, respect its history and its original interior architectural detailing but give everything a fresh new spin, that feels authentic and simply just right.

Tailored and inviting.
